DWTS results last night left many fans sitting in shock of the Dancing With The Stars voting. The results of last night’s show were so shocking that some fans are now asking if Dancing With The Stars voting is rigged. Celebrities that have low judges scores are nevertheless on the show, which isn’t unheard of, but is unusual. Solidly center-of-the-pack Shannen Doherty was sent packing off the show. Did America’s voting really save the stars that seem to need money now, or is it something more questionable?
Results of Dancing With The Stars
When it comes to what the judges had to say, the DWTS results should have seen Buzz Aldrin and Kate Gosselin competing for their spot on Dancing With The Stars 2010. When audience votes were counted up, though, Pamela Anderson and Shannen Doherty found themselves facing the votes. With two mid-range judge scores, Shannen Doherty’s fans evidently did not turn out like Pamela Anderson’s to keep her on DWTS. Many DWTS results watchers are now thinking about how many hundred thousand votes more than Shannen did Kate Gosselin get to stay on Dancing With The Stars?
How DWTS results are added up
The Dancing With The Stars 2010 voting is situated on a half-and-half system. Half of the Dancing With The Stars results are determined by the judge scores, the other half by call-in votes. That means that Buzz Aldrin, who had an excellent moonwalk in an otherwise “stiff” cha-cha-cha, had to have had at least twice the call-in votes that Shannen Doherty did to make up his point deficit. ABC keeps the Dancing With The Stars tabulation formula secret, but the internet loans some hypotheses that it might be rigged.
Dancing With The Stars 2010 voting rigged?
As with most “reality” shows, the producers of Dancing With The Stars do have some say in how the show goes. While their exact hand in the production of the show remains mostly in the filming, partnerships and staging, some are pondering if they’ve over-reached with DWTS Season 10. With her low scores and a seemingly frustrated fan base, many thought that Kate Gosselin was a natural choice for DWTS results elimination. If not Kate Gosselin, then Buzz Aldrin, who had the largest point deficit to make up. Instead, one of probably the most popular dancers – Pamela Anderson – ended up in the bottom two along with Shannen. Are the producers of DWTS keeping Kate on the show looking for more drama? Or perhaps the mom-of-eight has enough fans to keep her on the show? What is your opinion?
